Christmas
36-Hour Seafood Marathon

Dust off your eskies – Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ’s favourite Christmas tradition is back.

The 36-Hour Seafood Marathon sees Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ Fish Market retailers open their doors for 36 hours straight, from 5am on the 23rd of December, to 5pm on Christmas Eve.

Let’s crunch the numbers:

  • More than 100,000 customers are expected to walk through our doors in these 36 hours. Don’t worry, extra parking is available at Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ Secondary College Blackwattle Bay, just across the water. All parking is charged at a $8 flat rate for the duration of the marathon, so you can take your time.
  • Over 350 tonnes of seafood is expected to be sold on site this Christmas. That includes 120 tonnes of prawns, and almost 70,000 dozen oysters.
  • Our six wet seafood retailers are only the beginning. We are a one-stop shop for all of your Christmas entertaining needs. Grab fruit, veggies, fresh bread, quality meat, cheese, wine, dry goods and more on your trip, and thank us later.
  • This year marks the 28th anniversary of the marathon... So, it’s safe to say we know our stuff. And we’re generous, so we’ll be sharing every planning, shopping, and cooking tip we’ve got with you, all the way up until Christmas. Keep an eye on our social media pages for all the key info (as well as a few trade secrets).

Can’t make it in person? No sweat. Many of our retailers offer home delivery services – check them out here.

Psst. Santa will be wandering the Market from 9am-12pm on both the 23rd and 24th of December... So bring the kiddies!

The early bird gets the prawn! See you at the 36-Hour Seafood Marathon.
